    Wednesday’s 7pm – 8pm @ Nolan Hall, Leslie Street, Nundah

These exciting Latin dances are rather easy to learn. It's a favourite at many events.

The catchy rhythms, equally at home in both small combos and big bands, quickly became a favourite of dancers, because they could so easily relate to it's vibrant and playful effervescence.

    “With Passion”
    Argentine Tango & Rumba

    Thursday’s 8pm – 9pm @ Nolan Hall, Leslie Street, Nundah

Argentine Tango was initially danced in bars, cafes, gambling houses, and quilombos (prostitution places). Later on, "Dancing Houses," that provided girls for dancing and entertainment, appeared. Lonely men spend time socializing, drinking, gambling, looking for some 'romance' in the company of women of ill repute, trying the steps of the new dance...the milonga and the tango.

Rumba is the spirit and soul of Latin American music and dance. The fascinating rhythms and bodily expressions make the Rumba one of the most popular Latin American dances.

    “Back to Cuba”
    Mambo & Cha Cha Cha

The Mambo dance originated in Cuba in the early 1900’s, becoming most popular in 1947 when it swept the floors of the Palladium and other renowned places such as The China Doll, Havana Madrid and Birdland.
